ARCHERY:  The kid’s league that started up on June 1st has been well attended with a total of 19 little archers.  We have nine new faces this year, so I guess it does pay off to advertise a little more.  But I do wish we had more club member’s children participating in this summer event.  Well maybe next year.  The summer adult crossbow league that we were trying to organize this season never got off the ground.  Nobody showed any interest so much for that idea.  Maybe we’ll try again next year.  Th4e adult league has gotten off to a great start.  It’s better than we’ve had in years.  We have had an average of about 17 to 20 shooters per every Thursday night.  I would like to thank our member and cook Brian (white pepper) Rudge for showing up and cooking us up some darn good food, especially his famous chili dogs.  Also, I would like to thank three people for helping out and making some donations.  Billy Woodcock and his company for the donation of gravel to help with the filling in of the potholes in the archery parking lot, and, to long time member Jim PS Miller for his donation of his older bow and also donating a new two man buddy treestand that will be a part of this years field day archery raffle on Sept. 7th.  This years main raffle will possibly be something different a 150lb crossbow package.  Please feel free to give me your input.  I am trying to organize a weekend long archery work party on labor ay Aug. 30, 31 and Sept. 1st to help with the re-design of the last ten 3-D course trails and lance due to the logging project at our Sacarappa Road property.  We need a few 4-wheelers to pull around the larger branches and groom the main trails, and some chainsaw work.  So, if you can lend us a hand please contact me.
